2N hitch optical illusion.... maybe....
This picture rotates through my screen saver quite often & it just occurred to me that the hitch from the chopper to the tractor doesn't look right. Initially, it looks like it's high up in the air. Tires Tires Tires
Where does everyone get their tires for old tractors? It seems tires for a VAC in 28 are common but for a SC/DC in 38 are almost impossible to find. I know of Miller in Ohio but shipping just adds even more cost to it. Finding it cheaper to just go all steel on a tractor than rubber. Thanks.- Marshal51

mixing engine oil
Has anybody heard of mixing synthetic oil with conventional oil and it turning to road tar, and ruining the motor, or is this a extreme case??- fastfarmall

Wouldnt have guessed
HD800 power unit on Big Iron auctions sold this morning. A running unit I expect set up the way it came from the factory, painted nice and sounding good. Figured it to go high but wouldnt have guessed 20,000. Wow- DPittman

Stuck Farmall B update
Wife and I got it running! Puff of smoke on first start up, then zero smoke, great oil pressure. Still a bunch of parts to go on. But much happier now that we know it runs. It was taken apart 20 years ago so previous owners could paint it. <video width=90%...- grandpa Love

Broken Spark-pug Removal
I have a Ferguson to-30 that was sitting outside for about 20-25 years. I was going to remove the spark-plugs, three come out with no problem. The fouth plug had a different idea, would not budge with a 3/8 breaker bar, so I get 1/2 dr breaker and the plug breakes at the threads. What is my next...- KCTractors

occasional drop in idle on the 8N
Forum, Several times in the past years my 1948 8N will be idling and then just about but not quite just about die and then recover to a normal idle. Thinking is may be a fuel issue but the tractor runs fine after each episode. This is not a major issue but I sure thought it would die this...- Mr. T. Minnesota

JD R and WD-9
Drove this at the local tractor show last week. Both tractors were running but only the R was in gear. The guy who created this contraption used a cable master/slave cylinder to run the clutch on the WD-9 and the club member told me it can be finicky at times. Plus if you are not used to...- GreenEnvy
