8N Oil Filter Adapter - Installed

That seems like a bit much for what it is and looking at it I'm not too sure how well it would flow. I went to the auto parts store and picked up a remote oil filter kit for $20. Made a simple bracket out of angle and was good to go. With the filter mounted vertical there's no mess and takes two...

    Front mount snow blower

Why not a PTO hydro pump and hydraulic motor on the blower? No gearboxes, drive-shafts, rotation or clearance issues. Just a thought.

almost 100 year old machine shop

When I was a kid there was a blacksmith shop near by that still used a large Helve hammer just like the one pictured. Had a big electric motor bolted to the floor and a flat belt run to the machine. Was fascinating and terrifying to watch them use it.

    OK, so I'm a dummy

I made the chains just long enough to loop around and hold up my sway bars when the pins are in the bracket. Works slick for keeping the sway bars off the ground while driving and backing up.

    Ready for snow...... (with PICs)

Bigdawg, you'll be just fine. I've been running a loader mounted plow for years without any problem and have moved a LOT of snow. I would however replace the chain with a solid link. I use a spare 3 point top link. As far as the front end getting pushed to the side while angle plowing, just lift...

    OT- My two favorite Fords

flembo, I just have the tires loaded. The loader is a model WF3 FF which may be lighter than yours. Never felt a need for extra weight but do almost always have an attachment on back. This 8N is my go-to do everything tractor. There's not a week that goes by that it's not mowing, digging post...

Doing what they do best, working hard. 51 8N loading the 56 F600 with firewood. Thought I would share.

    Small welding project

I'd say it's around 50 lbs or so. I hang it on the wall of the barn when I'm done using it. Put a 300lbs gear in the back of my truck yesterday so I know it'll lift at least that much.

    Small welding project

Was cleaning up around the property and got thinking it would be nice to have a boom for the tractor. Dug around the shop and had just enough material to put something together. It's not super heavy duty but very handy and easy to take on and off.

Re: Starting problem has me stumped.

Jim, it's hard to tell in the picture but there are normal round shoes on the back of the plow. Duey, you are a 100% correct. BUT, a working loader with two buckets, snow plow, forks and a set of rear tire chains for $200 off of Craigslist. I am more than happy to deal with and overcome a few...

Re: Starting problem has me stumped.

flembo, looked on the tag this morning and the loader is a WF3 FF. I have the manual for it somewhere if you need more info about the unit.
