Found a pin in the oil pan

I found a .22LR case in the oil pan on my '52 8N when I tore the engine down. Lord know how or when it got in there, but there it was. Sorry... It's no help to you, just thought I'd threw it in there.

    1710 Block heater

Thanks Sean. The local dealer told me the kit was for the 55mm plug, I really didn't think any further about the other side of the block. I'll check it out.

    1710 Block heater

If anyone is interested, I just purchased a block heater from Kat's. Part #11440 is the closest match I could find, it is 54mm where the plug for the block is 55mm. I intend to try it out soon after it comes in, of course I need to get a replacement plug just in case it doesn't work out. I will...

    1710 Block heater

Thanks for the info fellas! I was hoping not to remove the freeze plug until I had the heater in hand, but I guess that's what I'm gonna have to do. Either way, a job for warmer weather. Thanks again.

    1710 Block heater

I want to put a block heater on my Ford 1710, but I'm having a hard time finding one. The NH part # is E3NN8B152CA and is no longer available. I contacted my local dealer and he told he could not find one through his aftermarket dealers either. I find it hard to believe that this is a one of a...

    Haban Flail mower

Thanks for the info Ray. After a quick google search I felt very much as though I was on my own. The unit is in pretty good shape I was just hoping to find some new blades for it. I guess I will have to match sizes with a production unit. Thanks again.

    O/T: A question for TOH

Thanks TOH! The whole shaft is only 9" long, so it should fit no problem. I'll give you a call in the next few days when I get some free time. Thanks again

    O/T: A question for TOH

Do you hire out your time for machine services? I have a dearborn 14-59 sickle mower that I am working on and the PTO shaft needs some work. I need to turn down a 3" section of the shaft from 1.5" to about 1.31" to fit inside of another piece of shaft. I know the last time I spoke with you that...

    Dearborn PTO shaft

Thanks for the info fellas. TOH, I called Antietam tractor and the guy said he couldn't help me, I guess he just didn't want to. Do I dare go to ceresville? I've had more problems with those knuckleheads than enough. I guess now that I armed with a part number I can call back and get a real...

    Dearborn PTO shaft

I'm working on a dearborn 14-59 sicklebar mower and need the universal joints for the PTO shaft. I can't seem to find them locally or from the internet. Does anyone around here have a part number for them or has found them somewhere please let me know. It has a 7/8" diameter bearing cap and is 2...

    Dearborn sicklebar

I just bought a 14-16 sickle bar mower, it came with all the brackets except for the lift extension arms. Are these arms absolutely necessary or can I make do without them? I have yet to accually hook it up to the tractor or else I guess I would know the answer. I am an ironworker by trade so it...

    TOH valve job?

Thanks for the info. As much as I like to do things myself, I talked to my local machinist and I'm gonna have him look at the seats (he said the same thing) and also cook it and check for cracks.
