Brushhog Not Cutting Right
I bought this used brush hog from a guy over next to me. Actually bought a few implements from him, and he threw in the brush hog. 38 B Oil Filter Cap
My oil filter cap is leaking through both the bolt and the large O-ring on top I"ve heard these caps were modified at some point to accept the newer steel cartridge filters when they did away with the old paper filters. 1958 5 star and 1964 u302 what parts interchange?
yes, the Jet Star was the "striped down" economy Tractor, 4-Star had some options & 4-Star Super was "loaded" so to speak. the Big-Mo was the Industrial version of said tractors.- MAJ

M5 Colour Scheme
Kevin, That would not surprise me. Is the Ser. No. late in the run? AS you state peeling the stripe back to reveal a protected area, is a pretty convincing "proof". that "Scotchlite" stripe interest me. They were uses on Many MM Tractor, but not all. My A4T-1600 Had it, my G1000 Wheatland...- MAJ

M5 Colour Scheme
Doug what you refer as PG #3 was "Power Yellow" MM's name for it when introduced mid-production 335, 445, 5-Star etc. Early M5's were Bronze Belly, Later Dyna Brown. I've Never seen an Energy Yellow M5, that was supposed to start with the M6 models, but as with most things MM, never say never...- MAJ

Very Rare Iron Followed me home today.
There are a handful of them around, on RT's ZT's & UT's. I've been told that quite a few went to West Texas, and parts of Kansas "sand country". I've personally seen half a dozen of them on various tractors. There are several pieces of sales literature showing them. I would say, this would...- MAJ

correct plow for jetstar 3 super
What do you mean by correct? there really is no such thing, as one could pull many implements behind any tractor. Do you mean, what would have been "current" MM at the time? are you looking regular moldboard Plow or Spinner-plow? the JS3 would pull 3 bottoms in most soil conditions- MAJ

That is a repro, there are a couple sellers on eBay & other sites selling them not claiming original or repro, but getting too high of prices for the remakes they are. A friend of mine bought a JD sign from him. Nice sign, but it's a repro. There is what appears to be an original on eBay...- MAJ

MM 2 Star
Thanks, Yep Jet Star Two, the 2 Star was a Crawler, they are confused like some that claim a Jet Star 4, (which was never built) when it's a 4-Star. It's a Good Tractor, same as Earlier Jet Star, with a Yellow Hood, & a few very minor changes. still a stripped down, or "economy" tractor...- MAJ
