Double Bevel Rim Clamp
Have double bevel rims on 62 4000 with plate weights. Heard noise from hub area, lost 1 rim clamp. (Others loose, lucky I did not loose wheel). Cant seem to find replacement??? -

First thing I see is no power steering. I would still buy it if price was right.....non running...$800. -

6 ft Woods finish mower pto shaft size
Picked up a used 6 ft finisher mower but the pto shaft is not long enough. Using on a ford 75 2000(37hp) or 62 4000(45hp). Series 4 pto says up to 35hp hp at 540rpm and 54hp at 1000rpm. Is this good enough or get a larger one? (series 5 or 6). Do I need a slip clutch pto for a finish mower? -

I think I bought an 860
Flush the power steering out, they have been known to let water in. When I bought my 4000, power steering fluid looked like poop water. Let's see some pics! -

801 won't start when hot...
Did you change the coil? If so, put the old one back in. When you change a bunch of parts the same time, hard to diagnose. Lots of older parts built better than some of the new ones. -

It's alive! Now what?
Are the tires loaded? When I added pie weighs to my 2000, tires hardy spun with spring tooth plow. Before that had lots of spins. -

4 cyl 4000 - Lost Power - How to Troubleshoot?
That engine will run on 3 cylinders. Make sure you have good spark on all plugs. Might be fuel screen blocked. -

Loud Noise in Reverse
Did you recently change fluid? Is it a whining noise? -

No Heat
Over the years, I have collected(for free), 5 old kerosene heaters for just this reason. New wicks are readily available. These have a bad name, but when tuned up, work great. Have one that is 22,000 btu's and runs for 12 hours.- makoman

Noisy Tranny
I have an old 4000 4 cylinder. It was quiet. I changed all the fluids, put the utf tractor supply in, now it whines. Try thicker fluid. -

Ford 2000 3 cylinder(1975?)
I have a 75 2000. Put tsc travelier in my transmission and when I work it hard, it becomes difficult to shift gears. Going to put better transmission fluid in next time.
