    1989 Ford ranger spring mount

If its anything like my 95 ranger, the left front rear spring mount is the worst one to change. Its close to the gas tank and the rivets are inside the frame that the gas tank clears by only 1/2 inch. On top of that, the long bolt is usually rusted onto the metal sleeve thats made into the rubber...

    Cribbing. What do you think?

I always put a piece of plywood on top of the wood cribbing so as to tie the whole thing together and it also gives the jack stand something solid to set on. Mal

    cutting metal roofing

Guys, I just used an old skill saw blade.Looks like half rip and half crosscut from back in the early 70's from when I built my house. Didn't even look like I hurt it. Better steel? Mal

    cutting metal roofing

    OT chevy s 10 problems

I had that happen on a 1986 and after weeks of trying everything under the sun, it turned out to be a broken ground wire from the rear of the engine to the firewall. I think the sensors on the engine were not comunicating with the computer.

    bad head gasket?

On the picture of the block,I see a crack. Looking at the picture look at the 2nd hole from the left side, I see the crack going down to the cylinder sleeve where some of the surface is pitted. Or is it just me seeing things?

    Replacing the Starter switch

If it has a 5 speed, you need to take the nut off the top of shifter and pull off the shifter. Then you can pull the cover.
