    Ford 6000 3-point wont raise?

I figured. Yeah, those rockshafts are fun, I lucked out and didn't need any heat.

    Ford 6000 3-point wont raise?

The rockshaft was rusted solid and I got that broke loose after two days of fun. I put new Zerks in that use 1/4" pipe thread and gave it some grease. Now, trying to raise the 3-point, all the linkages inside are moving but it wont lift when the lever is pulled up. when I shut the tractor off...

    Ford 6000 SOS labored reverse

6000 select o speed, R1 and R2 work and dont slip but both gears make the engine lug hard and it feels as if the brakes are applied. Is this normal?

    1963 Ford 6000 orange paint?

The biggest items that are that bright red/orange color that flaked off are the hydraulic reservoir, the plate with the key switch under the dash, and the oil pan. Maybe I got a transitional model?

    1963 Ford 6000 orange paint?

I bought a 1963 6000 last year on a sale and just got it pressure washed, after I washed it some of the blue paint has come off and has exposed some of the parts that are red, its not primer, its red. Whats this all about? Serial number 61106-5-D 12508.

    Prototype 88's

I don't doubt it, but it seems like an incredible waste.

    Prototype 88's

So I just read about the pilot run of Oliver 88's made in 1946, I had no idea that 300 were built and used 70 sheet metal. So what happened to the 300 tractors?

    2290 PTO issue

Turns out to be the typical sheared key. That key is much thinner than I ever imagined.

    2290 PTO issue

Friends got a 2290 here, PTO works great in 1000, but flipped around in 540 the shaft will barely turn and you can stop the shaft from turning with two fingers. He hit a rock with a brush hog in 540 and that was it. I'd like to know what I'm going to be getting into before I pull the housing.

    Gleaner corn heads?

Orange heads are built like a tank, black heads are cheap and crack all over.

    1030 oil leak

IR thermometer shows even temp across all 6 cylinders. I pulled the #1 injector, pop tested at 2175 psi, very little leak down. This has been the best starting 30 series tractor I've ever had, starts right up like a gas at 50°F.

    1030 oil leak

I'll give it a shot and see what happens, but it doesn't smell anything like fuel.

    1030 oil leak

Forgot to add, the engine doesn't smoke at all, no blue haze, runs perfectly clean. I have practically no blow by, no loss of compression on that cylinder either, no knocking to speak of. Just a little over 100 hours on a major overhaul, heads are crack free remans.

    1030 oil leak

My 1030 all of a sudden started leaking engine oil out of the #1 exhaust port. Everything looks good on top, no visible cracks, valve guide looks good, no vertical crack. Has anybody experienced an issue like this before? Is the guide pressed through an oil passage on these heads? Thanks for...
