    took the top cap off the cav roto injector pump to replace o rings on the fuel levers , long story short i some how lost the small idle spring holding pin, i opened up the side inspection cover and looked all around there and on the ground under neath is it possible that its still in the pump...

    put new sleeves and pistons in my 3 cylinder 830 diesel runs very good but still smokes , i did the break in thing that was recommended, it seems that i'm getting raw oil out of the engine because it doesn't smoke until the exhaust heats up , i haven't really worked it hard yet , is this normal...

    thanks Jim , the neck was Brocken off and i had my welder put one on and it didnt have the inlet !!!! thanks again

    i bought this tractor in disassemble state overhauled the engine , long story short all is good runs and drives great , my question is on the injector train, the fuel thats not used is bypassed , where do you put the fuel back in the system ? no out let on the tank for it ?i'v been running it...

    thanks, could you tell me the procedure for setting the valves ? i know what the clearance settings for the intake and exhaust valves are, how to figure out when your at TDC ? THANKS

    john Deere 830 3cylingder diesel , just bought this tractor and decided to replace the sleeves and pistons ,poor compression , now i find out I've got to tear the front end off to get to where i can time the valves , not happy, is there another way to set the timing ? thanks in advance !
