    Starter switch finesse

The Weather in Texas isn’t very cooperative today so I’ll have to try that later this week. Thanks for the tip.

    730 propane line leak

Did you have to empty the tank? I pulled the upper and lower panels, but the hose is smack-dab in between. I can’t see how to get a wrench on them without possibly removing the tank valves themselves.

    730 propane line leak

The hose that connects the liquid to vapor valves in my 59 730 LP has a small leak, nearer the end. Part no. AF 2874 R. Is there an easy way to fix this or do I need to pull the tank and or pedestal or both? Does anyone have a good version of this part or am I going to have to have one made?

    Starter switch finesse

I will try it without the gasket, and then, if it works, put in a thin gasket, and see if that works. There seems to be a bit of play for the bolt that connects to the cables that goes through the housing. Is that any sort of adjustment?

More precisely: simply doesn’t make contact and work

    Starter switch finesse

on my 59 Cub, 6 V positive ground, I’m having trouble getting the starter switch to make contact. I bought a new switch and it wasn’t any better, leaving me to think that the contact nub on the starter itself is worn to the point where the switch will not make reliable contact. I can get the...

New oil pressure gauge for John Deere 350 B dozer

I want to switch from an electric to a mechanical oil pressure gauge on my 1972 JD 350B crawler. Should I? What gauge should I use and where can I buy it?

No steering on Case 350 B backhoe

Thank you for the correction and the advice. I also have a John Deere 350 B dozer, which I had to use to bury the cow, and it’s giving me problems too with the digital oil pressure gauge, jumping all over the map. Evidently, I was thinking of the one while posting for the other. No wonder I...

No steering on Case 350 B backhoe

Fired up my case 350 B backhoe today to go bury a cow. No steering. Everything else hydraulic works fine, the steering cylinders have been rebuilt, but as I turn the steering wheel, the wheels don’t turn at all. Is there a separate reservoir for power steering hydraulic oil/fluid that I have...

Case 580B power steering not holding

Thanks for the info. These are the power steering cylinders. What do you think? Notice the orange paint? This was the original color of the tractor. I could not find the serial data plate anywhere so I had to guess whether it was an early or late model.

How many O rings? Case 580B

I ordered the kit over six months ago and thought I ordered the correct kit with the serial number, but it is entirely possible that I didn’t get it right. I will double check.

How many O rings? Case 580B

Pulled the power steering cylinders on my Case 580 B to rebuild with an O-ring kit from YT. The piston head had two O-rings. The kit did not contain two O-rings for the Piston head, just one which fits deep in the groove. There should be a second ring to make the piston head seal against the...

Case 580B power steering not holding

I pulled both steering cylinders (finally). Put the o ring kit in I bought from YT. Must have been the wrong one because I am missing an O ring for the piston heads. There were 2 rings in the piston groove, at least there were as I took it apart. Is this right? The cylinders were previously...
