    I need to replace the brakes on my 470. The left side looks pretty straightfoward. The right side has the differential lock. Do I need to disassemble the differential lock, or leave the whole assembly attached to the brake cover? I probably need to replace the seals also, any advice there?

    269 baler question

    I'm in Virginia, cut the hay last Sunday, baled it yesterday, no rain while it was drying. Neighbor cut his the same day, baled round bales a day or two earlier than me.

    Farmallb - yes it has the cranks, I loosened them almost all the way up and was still making 70 lb bales. Breaking plenty of shear pins also. Figured removing a pair of wedges would lighten bales and save shear pins.

    Looking for part for 470

    I'm trying to find a source for part A29988. Its a throttle return spring for a 470. The parts diagram shows 2 springs on the linkage. I have one, missing the other. Also, the diagram I have is not real clear as to where each spring connects. Does anyone have a clear diagram or photo. Thanks.

    Sickle Mower for Clipping Field????

    I use a Massey Ferguson 31. The skid shoe on the outside of the bar got damaged, so I replaced it with a wheel, about 8" diameter, to keep the end of the bar from digging in. It works fine.
