HYD PUMP

Decided to fix the hyd pump on my MF294-4. Last year it would not raise my 15 ft mower. Had about 800 lbs of pressure. With 5800 hrs, we figured the pump was wore out. Took it apart and Son said it was toast. He works in a Hyd shop. New pump $600.Rebuild kit $500. After market pumps $250-350...

bolts

Every time I get rid of something, a few weeks later I can come up with a need for it. My excuse for saving is I was raised poor and that is a hard lifestyle to change. Come to think of it, I'm still poor.

Garden chemicals

I have a very large garden and it's getting harder every year to keep the weeds down. Job gets in the way and years are piling up on me. What chemicals can I use on everything from potatoes to tomatoes.

Harbor Freight 36 Metal Brake

I've got one that make aluminum brackets 1/8 x 6 to 8 inches. I do it at the edges. I don't think it would handle it in the middle. Steel would be a strain on it. If that is all the wider that you are going to bend, what about making one that wide? You could beef up the Harbor Freight and It...

No. He bought it at a sale about 30yrs ago and he thinks I bid against him. I think I went and It started higher than I wanted to give. Don't think I made a bid.

Neighbor is getting out of the concrete business. I bought one of his transits. It has W.& L.E. Gurley on it. Looks to be a quality piece of equipment. The only other number on it is 471934. I've googled the company but can't find much info on this one. Does anyone have an idea as to the year of it?

what you call it?

What do you call the round piece that the end of a throttle cable goes through and is threaded on both ends and has screws to tighten the cable.. Lost one and need to get another one but don't know a technical name for it.

School Bus to RV

Wife's Uncle had a 50's Ford 15-20 some passenger bus he converted into a Rv. We sold it a couple of years ago and one person that came and looked at it takes the body off and put a modern chassis with diesel engine, power brakes and ac under it. He said they were a hit at the races.

photo tach

My photo tach fell off the tractor tire and now doesn't work. Do you have a favorite brand? Looking for one that does the photo tach and let me plug it into an external pickup like on pulling tractors.

Refilling Fire Extinguishers

I had a refillable one and they said they couldn't refill if because of the date on it. Couldn't be to old to refill. I can't remember the date.

Skidsteer?

Got 1/4 inch ice,4 inches sleet,then 6 inches of snow this morning. I know not much to some of you. Went to town this morning and they were cleaning a parking lot with a Bobcat A300 I think. The front wheels turned on it. Is it a skidsteer also? It didn't look like it would turn very short that way.

engine hoist

Son and I tied onto a tire and wheel on a Oliver 1600 a while back. 2 ton hoist. Bent one leg on the cherry picker,engine hoist, floor crane etc ?????? Boy was that heavier than what we thought. We were in big trouble for a while.

Igloo kits free you haul

South Central IL. 50 mi south of Decatur. Got about quarter inch of ice and 3 to 4 inches of sleet. Funny to drive in. Wind is blowing like crazy. Power pole at end of drive has a bow in it. Got heat cranked up and water drawn in case power goes off. This is more like the late 70's.
