    I believe the oil is leaking out of the transmission through the throwout bearing tube and I don’t believe it’s supposed to have a half a gallon of oil in there and when you said Bendex what did you mean? Thank you

    Tearing apart and 8N that wouldn’t turn over was making some noise in the bell housing when I got it apart I found these loose pieces in the bottom plus about half a gallon of oil. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Yes it was a big sigh of relief. when it goes back to them, they don’t much care what the thing looks like. When I changed the engine oil looked like the worst Nasty diesel oil I’ve seen.The coil wire to the battery was just wrapped around the stud for the transmission switch. Now I’ve rewired...

    It is running now. I feel embarrassed that I didn’t understand the spark plug sequence, but I’m thankful that you guys gave me some good advice and helped me out. Thank you very much and have a good year.

    Yes it runs now .after rebuilding the carb the float Sticks ive got to pull it apart agin .i may have tweaked a float setting float height .i have essential hand tremors .I never ran into the spark plug wire issue .if I replaced wires I always did one at a time so no mix ups .have a ford 9n / wd...

    These wires have metal wires you can see under the part that clips on the plug .this is the way it came to me .not the way my own have . It’s a neighbors . Thank you for the help .
