    MF-202 Delco Distributor

I did some maintenance on my 202 tractor today on account of the 65 degrees and rain. I figured I'd pull the distributor, clean it up, and do a general tune up. I took the plate off to have a look at the advance. Am I missing the weights and retainer plate? The advance is also different from the...

    Ryobi 1/2 Impact Wrench

I have all Ryobi cordless and think I need an impact wrench. After looking at them there seems to be 3 different 1/2 impact wrenches. I think only one on them is brushless and is $139. Anybody got one and what are your real life experiences with it?

    Head lights

How come the European tractors have their headlights down low on the grille compared to the US. counter parts? I'm thinking because they are used on the road so much more and they won't shine as much in the oncoming traffic. Would that be right? Or is there another reason?

j deere model a water in crankcase

I have a 1937 jd model a tractor that ran great until I changed the exhaust manifold and I chased the threads and did not know the push rod tubes were there. The tap hit the tube and split it slightly. I did not know this until the crankcase was full of water. I took the head off and replaced...

IH 1420 combine--hydro pump ctrl valve seal frustration!

I'm posting this here, rather than in the combine section, in the hopes that some experienced IH mechanic can advise me. I'm trying to replace a leaking seal on the control valve assembly for the hydrostatic pump. It's the little o-ring and plastic ring that seals around the control valve...

    Ford 2000 - wrong starter?

So this is a weird one for me. I just got a new-to-me tractor that I believe to be a 1974 Ford 2000 Diesel. Model No. B1012K Production Code 4L27B (excuse my terminology if I named those incorrectly) Even with a brand new battery and a properly done 10SI conversion (3 wire) with diode and...
