    Finally got back outside and I did about 8 stumps today. The turn buckle style works great and keep the grinder right where I put it. Took less the 10 mins a stump.

    How am I gonna know how far to place these brackets? The photo above has em all the way out on the axle and you'res are all the way in? Dose this depend on the implement I'm using? Or how far I have the sway arms twisted out???

    This is my current set up minus the "bracket" around the PTO because it was dropping well below that and the arms where catching on it on the way up.

    Thank you for the information! I thought ur name looked familiar! You where one of the people from the 2007 post I was talking about that posted about removing it from the rear. U did a step by step but u never really clarified on removing the bearing and the PTO shaft out of the hole first...

    So just take off the cap, pull the bearing, gear, and shaft right out? And then proceed with the actual job of of blindly undoing the pin and castle nut.
