    1955 questions

I have all the remote and the rear lift hoses replaced and managed to get all the frozen controls freed up on the 1955, the throttle shaft and hydropower shaft was the most interesting. ANYWHO I digress I am not familiar with the some of the controls and am about to re-install the shroud. The...

    1850-1900 shift pattern plate

I wish there was one within a bazillion miles from me :) used to be a guy up near Hobson TX but I lost touch with him.

    1850-1900 shift pattern plate

My 1900 has a plate, (so there should be one) it's down below the console next to the data plate, like I can read it that far away, well I had no trouble reading it 25 years ago when I got it. :)

    1850-1900 shift pattern plate

It appears my 1850 has the same shift pattern as my 1950, but I cannot find a plate anywhere, there are many out there just none are correct. so I am looking for one, both reverses (high and low range) are over right and up, 6th is down (high range) right and down. One guy has a decal for $10...

And what idiot would call the engine shut down cable simply "wire" and put it under "governor controls"that makes finding it in the parts book easy....

    More 1955 hydraulic questions.

I have been running Olivers here on the ranch for over 30 years, I USED to actually enjoy working on them, that was until I bought a 1955, that tractor evidently evolved beyond the engineer's ability to think straight, what a freaking nightmare! I know one poster here said the remote hoses...

    1955 high pressure O ring?

I have a leak where the high pressure line leaves the pump and goes to the tee (three point) and power beyond. I seems obvious that it would be an O ring but I cannot find it in the parts book. I do see an O ring 195278A, the comment is that it is not illustrated, would this be the O ring I need?

    1955 water pump kit?

There are no return boots or lines on the injectors, there is simply a long piece of hose by-passing them, interestingly enough the injectors do not appear to be trying to return any fuel.

    1955 water pump kit?

It does matter if you use the seal installation tool provided by the seal manufacturer, it is made of plastic and could not withstand the force needed to drive the shaft into the housing. The ID of the seal must be correctly supported when it is driven onto the shaft whether the seal is...

    1955 water pump kit?

John down at Commercial Water Pump Rebuilders in Houston hooked me up for $119.50 shipped This includes the gaskets, shaft, 2 seals (in case I screw one up) snap ring, the 4 screws for the back plate and a seal installation tool. And instructions that contradict what I saw on YouTube, you are...

    1955 water pump kit?

There is also a company called Commercial Water Pump Rebuilders in Houston, I have been dealing with them for going on 35 years on my JD and MF water pumps along with some really strange stuff like the M422A1, air cooled but has a water pump shaft, and that goofy air compressor I have that uses...
