    Help identify my 9n

    I see no evidence of any effort made to clean the stamped serial number plate on left side of motor. Everything you need is right there on that plate. You need to take a power grinder with wire wheel to it. Removes all old paint, rust, oil. Be aggressive and persistent till it gets shiny.

    ore than likely steering box needs to removed, disassembled and new bearings and seals installed. Yesterdaystractor sells parts to rebuild. If you don't feel up to rebuilding you can buy a new steering box, or hire someone to repair it. Youtube has videos on steering box rebuild for n series...

    The pump for sale on this site says for a TO-35, the serial number must be 179304 or higher.

    You need to know your tractors serial number and make sure it matches the pump. I have a 1955 and its serial number doesn't match their pump.
