    Hesston 1091 Tapered Gib

Thanks for the suggestions, I have some tapered keys that are supposed to be delivered today. Going to see how they fit and I am thinking I will start with some healthy tacks welds and see how it lasts before I start to fully weld things. Thanks, John

    Hesston 1091 Tapered Gib

Probably would be a good idea, but will only be cutting about 5 acres of grass. John

    Hesston 1091 Tapered Gib

I am going through a new to me Hesston 1091 MoCo. The chain for the rollers has a ton of slack in it. While I was checking that out, I discovered the gib for the rubber roller's sprocket had been tack welded into place and there is nothing keeping the sprocket fom sliding back and forth...

    Rotary Phase Converter

After looking in the cabinet, it appears that the ground has come loose and needs to be reconnected. Also, my generated leg is the black wire, thinking it should be line 3 coming into the machine, but didn't have anymore time to look at it. I have attached the wiring schematic if anyone is...

    Rotary Phase Converter

There is a large electrical cabinet on the back of the machine that contains everything. I will have to take a look inside tomorrow. Thanks John

    Rotary Phase Converter

Here is an update: I connected the converter as planned and everything seems to run fine. However, the 120 volt outlets on the machine cabinet for the light, and the controller check at 140 volts with the spindle off and 130 volts with the spindle running. I checked the single phase legs...

    Rotary Phase Converter

I have attached some more pics, the unit was made by a local company. I tried calling but no luck. There are numbers on the wires but no other diagrams. The compartment with the capacitors has a lid that is riveted on, maybe have to get inside?

    Rotary Phase Converter

Last weekend I brought home and placed a Bridgeport mill with a CNC control. I am wanting to power it with a rotary phase converter I picked up many years ago at an auction but never have used. It is rated at 5 HP and I have attached a pic of the wiring. The are 4 different bunches of wires...

3020 syncro hydraulic drain plug broke

That would probably work, but just going to leave it, don't think the effort is worth it. Thanks, John

3020 syncro hydraulic drain plug broke

Using HY-GARD, that was another reason for servicing, don't know what has been used in the past.

3020 syncro hydraulic drain plug broke

Ok, think I'm just going to fill and move on, there can't be much left by leaving that plug in. My main goal was changing the filter and cleaning the screen anyway. Thanks, John

I have added pics from the manual and of the plug on the tractor. Thanks, John

3020 syncro hydraulic drain plug broke

Servicing the hydraulics on a 3020 synchro shift and the small drain plug is stuck tight. I tried some heat, but didn't think I should get it too hot. I have now twisted off the square head. I pulled the main plug and the filter and drained about 6 gallons, but I think it may have been low to...
