    thanks for the suggestions guys,,i went ahead and called hoye and explained what was going on and the guy told me the noise was probably coming from the bottom end and recommended i do a simple refresh on the engine, so i ordered the parts today....will reply with out come when i get it up and...

    the valve cover was the first thing i pulled,,i was in the middle off doing a bush hogging job when it started making the louder knocking sound,and shut it down..first thing i thought ,,rocker arm...no slack in them and push rods seemed to go up and down like they were suppose too. loaded it up...

    i have had my 2200 for a while now,,,yesterday it started making a louder knocking sound than usual..no oil smoke and has good oil pressure....i have pulled the pan and the rod and main bearing seem fine...what else could it be...

    all four wheels are original yanmars, i just flipped middle disks around to get maximum dish on all four. basically mounted just like wheels are on a dually or big truck and installed longer lug bolts...the original bolts worked fine they just dont go all the way thru the axle flange....i dont...

    i need wheels for a ym2010

    thanks alan,it shows the 2010 uses the same size tires as my 2200 so what im gonna do is use the wheels and tires off mine if the bolt pattern is the same to get it home and then locate another set for it..

    i have an chance to buy a ym2010 that is sitting on blocks,the owner for some reason sold the tires and wheels off of it.this tractor does run...what other size of yanmars can i use the wheels from...

    just want to say thanks to those that replied on this post..i didnt fool with checking the compression. i took the advice and changed the filter even thou it didnt look dirty,and replaced the fuel line from the bowl to the pump, then bleed all the lines like hoye states to and installed the glow...

    sorry for the confusion,,im going to go ahead and install the new glow plugs and then pull injectors anyway, check the compression and if its close to the 500, then im going to install new orings on them and put them back in. i have noticed that one injector is seeping a little anyway..

    thanks winston, thats kind of what i was wondering too. im just going to pull the injectors and do it that way and replace the orings while im at it. thanks for your insight on this tractor..

    on my 2200 they screw into the side of the head right below the injectors...pulling the injectors wouldn't be a bad thing that way i know they will have new orings on them when i put them back in..

    and about the filter, one of our local parts stores stocks several tractor parts for all kinds and for autos as well so i should be able to match it if the numbers above dont.

    a local mechanic told me instead of pulling the injectors for now that i should get the right metric fitting that fits where the glow plugs go and adapt to a pressure gauge since im changing them again anyway. can this give a good enough reading for compression or do i have to pull the injectors?

    im gonna go to my local parts store and just see if i can get lucky enough for them to match me a fuel filter....i also went ahead and ordered me two more new injectors,,i was getting juice to mine and they are new but whats to say that one of them isnt defective...im going to go ahead and check...
