    Thanks for the schooling. Every night I go to school (read the forum)I have learned a lot. I think I am gonna leave everything as is. If it aint broke don't fix it. Just was curious as the Manual showed the cap and I had a tractor with a plug so was curious what you all thought and thanks again.

    I recently purchased my 2nd 8n which seems to be unmolested. The question is this is the filler for the Trans a cap or plug? My sidemount 1950 has a plug like on the drain. The newest is a sidemount 1951 that has a cap. which is the right one and should I find another cover for one the wrong one.

    Sorry about not getting back to you sooner Tom but had to work and had to go over to the boys house this evening, but I couldn't find my receipt so if my memory strikes me right it was about 40 a gal. unless you get a discount from a contractor, I was lucky :)

    just repainted my home. My buddy a professional painter gave me his advice cheap paint, cheap results, thus being said he recommended Sherwin-Williams exterior paint A100 pricey but covered well I used a airless Graco lower end gun and single coated and so far so good. 2yrs and going strong...

    I live within 23 miles of 3 TSC and a Atwoods farm center. I think they are geared more for the Yuppies than ole farmboys. We do have a auto supply store that does cater to the 8N and the folks there know how to use a parts catalog. Imagine that!! I do love Palace Auto Supply

    have Zane's live thang and I think it is nicest thing since cotton candy. Works really good on my sidemount I did have to re-engineer a bracket as the PO jury rigged the alt. bracket a trip to O'reillys for a GM alt bracket and a new belt and I look for excuses to run my tractor
