    . So that was my take from the reply ....that the balls only contact the housing if the cones are worn out. I have always been one to try to figure things out so I pulled the working governor off my other 8n to compare the two! Sorry to say the looked exactly the same as far as the cones etc...

    idid! As a matter of fact after the first arrived I immediately ordered another! I have a pair of 51 8ns that I'm fixing up not for show but for me....I was impressed! I m no expert like you guys but I can tell you Hobo that it measures 20-1/2 " from the top rail to center of lower mounting...

    Tire question?

    I sure this has been hashed over here before many times but here goes....will 13.6 x 28 ag tires work on an 8n (1951) or are they too much for this tractor ? They are loaded with CaCl but the $300 price is tempting. My guess is each of the tires is pushing 700 lbs plus ...not sure if someone...

    Manifold paint

    Auggy that's what I use! Though mine says 1200 degrees on it.anyway if you don't care for the flat black look just take a soft cloth like terry and rub it up makes a nice finish!
