    Is it the Coil?

My 1952 8N, which has been 100% reliable in the 12 years I've owned it, started yesterday completely normally. I was letting it warm up while I cleared my yard for mowing and it just stopped and would not restart. I live in the suburbs far from any tractor mechanics and admittedly, I'm not...

Woods RD7200(6 foot)and turf tires together make an unstoppable machine. It's a good, well balanced combination.

    The Always Reliable 8N

I haven't posted or even visited in a long time. I had sold my farmette and all the aging, but working equipment (Farmall H, MM602, plow, planter, etc) with the exception of a 1952 Ford 8N. I live in the suburbs now on a half acre (I can cut the grass in under 5 minutes with a 6 foot Woods...

    M602-LP Propane valve leak

My M602 sat for over a year, and was out of propane when i tried to get it going again. I filed the tank to about 40%, recharged the battery and started working on it. There is gas leaking out of the vapor valve when I open it up. I assume the valve has to be replaced. Can anyone give me a...

    830 injection pump leak

The injection pump on my 830 is leaking engine oil at the throttle shaft hole. Can I remove the rear housing to replace the seal or does the whole pump assembly have to be removed? Thanks for your response.

    M602 help

I"m looking at the really bad picture in my operator"s manual reprint and my M602 LP trying to figure out where is the filler plug for the rear compartment (differential). I have ampli-torc and the TEL-O-FLO (3 point lift). If someone could point the way, I"d appreciate it.

    mm m5 planting

My M-602 doesn"t look as good, but it always starts, I"ll finish the plowing tomorrow and get the sweet corn in by Sunday. What great, powerful tractors.

    M602 tractor

I have been fixing minor problems on mine one at a time. The leaky hydraulics don't bother me much and power steering that only works to the right forces me to carefully plan. Overall, it is an excellent, reliable, powerful tractor good for small operations.

    An upcoming auction

Here's a listing for an auction in October a few miles from my home with several Minnie-Mo's. I plan to go and imagine my tractors looked as good as the pictures Kingsbury Oct 8th Auction

    8N admiration

I just finished mowing my farmette with my recently acquired, older restoration 8N with a Woods 72" finish mower and probably did it in a quarter of the time the old riding mower used to take. It is really impressive that a 50 year old tractor can still work so well and be so perfect and fun in...

    M-602LP Shifter

I have been repairing/improving my rescue M602 one piece at a time and thinking of dealing with the problem of only having 2nd, 5th and reverse gears. A neighbor claims it is probably broken linkage or a fork and I wouldn"t have to get inside the transmission (which I won"t). Has any one dealt...

    H Tire Troubles

It probably is related to the heat, but the crappy, missing chunks, damaged sidewall, left rear tire on my 1941 H is now coming off the rim. I know this can be solved with phone calls and money, but right now I"m paralyzed with antique tractor depression and questioning why I still love the...

    M-602 Front Tires

I am about to put new front tires on my M-602, from what I've read 6.00 x 16 is correct size. Right now there are ancient, bald, bad snow tires up there size 8.00 x 16.5. These rims look original. Do I look for 16 or 16.5? Does it matter?
