M-602 Front Tires

I am about to put new front tires on my M-602, from what I've read 6.00 x 16 is correct size. Right now there are ancient, bald, bad snow tires up there size 8.00 x 16.5. These rims look original. Do I look for 16 or 16.5? Does it matter?

Factory sizes on those old tractors were good for trenching only. I have seen more 602's with 9.5 or larger tires than the 6.00. I like to run 11-15 tri ribs. My dad had 11.00x16 on for many years

A 16.5 tire requires a 16.5 " rim. Do not try to use them on 16" rims, VERY DANGEROUS, and you will probably not find many 6 bolt center 16.5" rims they are usually only 8x6.5 or some variety of 5 bolt centers that I have found.
