    SMTA

A picture on the internet shows a SMTA with factory LP that has the tank running long wise and filled from the side. Two questions 1) been told no SMTAs were built with factory LPG 2)I thought factory lp SM always had cross wise tanks. Any input would be appreciated.

    Hauling ?

I know this question has been asked on this forum recently, but I am looking for feedback specific to my situation. I haul an H with a 16' car hauler that has a 2' dove tail, with twin axles and electric brakes. I pull the trailer and tractor with a 2015 Silverado Z-71 half ton with 5.3 liter...

    IHC Grain Binder

I have a bundle shield that came off of a tractor pulled binder, the name on the shield says MCCORMICK NEW IDEA. I am wanting to know about how old a machine this came off of and was it an IHC product or was it sold as part of the New Idea line

    Super M propane ?

Actually I have three questions. I know this has been discussed before but does anyone know or is there a resource somewhere that tells the number of SMs that were built in the factory as propane units (having the cross mounted LP tank). 2nd question is in regard to seeing a SM on propane...

Did the 1952 Super M (series I) come from the factory with live hydraulics?

    Super m hydraulics

First, hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas Day. Now my question is did a 1952 Super M have a live Hydraulic pump or did that only start with the series II tractors as a factory option?

    $40,000. Farmall H?

I spent less than a fourth that amount to have a 1941 H restored from a non-running, very rough condition to "Show Room Status" and although it has been in the family (GF to Son to Grand-son) since it was new in 1941 I would have to at least thing about selling the tractor if some fool came...

    Farmall gearshift knobs

Does anyone know the time line for when IHC delivered new tractors with a cast iron gearshift knob during World War II, because the use of rubber had been diverted to war time use.

    Super M - Propane

The fact that there are more SUPER M - Propane's in Texas may go along with one of the stories I have heard, which may or may not be true. The story is that the tractors were built at IHC's Farmall Works plant at Rock Island, IL, then were shipped to Lubbock TX where the LPG systems were...

How many of you stick with the brand you grew up with vs not

I grew up with M&M and Farmall tractors, used the M&M's for dryland-Summer fallow land (I grew up in Western Kansas) and used the farmalls mostly in the bottoms on the irrigated ground (I tell Kids today that if you can learn to cultivate with an M that had a half turn play in the steering wheel...

    Super M - Propane

Again, I don't have the time to go back and see if this shows up as a topic on one of the previous 3700+ pages. What I am wanting to know is any information that is available on the model SUPER M FARMALL that had a factory install LPG system (the factory install LP tank ran cross ways to the...

    trailoring

I am sure this has been discussed in the past but I am too lazy to go back and look at 3700+ pages of past topics. My question regards loading a higher center of gravity tractor, such as a Farmall H or M, on a trail; I have read some comments recently saying that under no circumstance would the...

    Selling Dealer

Have a H that I know from the SN that it was built in early 1941 trying to find where it was shipped to assuming that that dealer sold it to my Grandfather. Does anyone know who would have such a reference?
