    Vicker vain pump growling

I guess I do not need to call them as I got a reply back from Spencer Fluid Power in Kent, WA today, they tried to source a replacement for an aftermarkent pump through Fluidyne. Fluidyne says they do not have a replacement/crossover for my configuration. So, either a new vane pump and...

    Vicker vain pump growling

My pump is rated at 5 gpm. The shaft coupler is 3 inch 4 bolts. Shaft size is 3/4. Pump shaft length is 2 1/2-2 3/4, cant tell exact. Pump mount bolts are vertical 4 1/8 center to center. The bracket will allow me a horizontal bolt pattern. My hydraulic pump shaft into tractor is splined...

    Vicker vain pump growling

I will call them, but not going to hold my breath. I talked to several suppliers of vickrs Eaton vane pumps and the kit for my pump is obsolete. Now they could and would sell me a new version of the vickers 210 vane but it is well over $600.

    Vicker vain pump growling

I have been making some phone calls about the vickers vane pump (v210-5-1B-12 S13-LH) and the news is not good. First the pump is obsolete and the cartridge kits as well. I can probably find bearings and seals, have not disassembled yet. According to spencerfluidpower in Kent WA, an...

    Vicker vain pump growling

Arrow direction on pump is correct, clockwise facing the front of the tractor. The bolt was easy, there was enough sticking out that I was able to tap it in the out direction until I could grab it with my fingernails. The pump is leaking at the shaft so I guess I am going to tear it apart...

    Vicker vain pump growling

This is not a new installation. The loader and pump came with the tractor. I have seen other 8ns with davis loaders with a similar pump layout. The pump and associated plumbing and filter container was not taken apart by me. Given the particular plumbing on the pump, it can only be...

    Vicker vain pump growling

I finally have the tractor together. Fresh iso46 hydraulic fluid. No leaks but the vicker vane pump growls very loudly. It popped off the head on one of the 4 bolts that hold the pump together. Are these pumps serviceable? Any thoughts about the growling. Tractor actually works pretty...

    8n with Davis 101 loader

The screen fits against the cork gasket and over the large tube. Then there is a spring and the the paper filter fits over the small tube. Spring holds screen in place. The old sock filter that the new paper filter replaced has the same hole size to only fit over the small tube. So the...

    8n with Davis 101 loader

I have a Davis 101 loader and putting it back together. It has a vicker vane pump. I have a Baldwin p40 filter to replace the sock filter. My question concerns the tube that fits in the center of the filter. It has numerous holes where fluid will pass through the filter into the tube which...
