    Have a 4055 has a second temp gauge that goes to the head that under load (discbine or round baler) reads between 195 -200 degrees on hot days. No load needle drops down to 170-180.     1969 4020 injection pump conversion.

    Have a 1969 4020 with the cbc pump that I'm converting to the jdp pump. Need the throttle control rod, R47673, that runs to the pump. Deere wants $44. Plan on making my own. Pretty simple 1/4 rod with threaded ends. Need the length of the rod. Anybody got dimensions? Use to be able...

    JD A Problem

    Have a 1948 John Deere A that starts good and will begin to run good but starts to miss and almost quits then starts to run good again then starts to miss almost quits then runs good again. Checked gas flow to carb which is good. Wheres best place to start?

    Swapping 265 loader from 2955 to a 4050

    Put a 265 loader off a Mannheim tractor on my 4055. Frames bolted on with no modifications. Only modification was to plates that bolt to rear axles. Had to elongate holes a bit for wider axle housing on 4055.

    Need to change transmission fluid in 4055 mfwd tractor. Book shows 3 plugs for draining. Differential, clutch housing, and mfwd drop housing. Found differential plug and mfwd plug as shown in book but can locate clutch housing plug shown in book. Any ideas?

    4055 temp gauge jumpy

    Temp gauge on 4055 was in middle of green then all of sudden jumped into red and the back down. Was ok for a few minutes then did again. Needle never in red for more than 2 or 3 seconds. One time it jumped back and forth and the settled in middle. Any ideas.

    Just found a 740 loader. Mounts are for a 7000 series tractor. Want to mount on a 4055. Would I have to find different mount?

    7200 hrs. Engine was just rebuilt. Dealer willing to warranty engine for 1 year. So I'm trying to gage condition of transmission.
