Why would you do this???????????
I wouldn't do it. I still farm and use mine but I'd never do that to any tractor. I was waiting for him to turn over. Kinda scary to me. Not safe at all. But, to each his own.- pgl4vt

1975 JD 830 Diesel, leaking Inj Pump
It's not due to new diesel. Had ours fixed twice on the 820 (3 cyl). 1970 model. Just happens with use/hours.- pgl4vt

Tractor insurance?
I carry $22,500.00 coverage on 2 of my tractors through Farm Bureau and pay $79.00 a year. Covers fire, theft, overturn, wind, hail and so on. BTW, I am an insurance adjuster and, as stated already, we do check the values and pay what it's worth (not what you have in it).- pgl4vt

O.E.M. vrs. after-market seat cushions.
I put an AM seat on my 2040. Hated it. Had original recovered and put it back on. AM one is collecting dust under the work bench now. Bought a second one off ebay for my 1120. Was raking and stood up and the pin worked loose from the base. It fell off and got run over by the rake. Put it...- pgl4vt

JD 790. 3 pt leak down.
3 pt hitch has started leaking down. Even when running with a load on it, it will leak down and have to "jump" back up. Anybody know why? Can it be fixed by a layman or is this something for a dealer? Thanks.- pgl4vt
