    Larry, I'm not sure I understand. On my carb there is a second bracket that is secured by the float pivot pin. It has a tang facing down.     Help! I rebuilt the carb on my 1958 861 Ford tractor. I can't figure out where the very small, very light spring goes. It's about 3/4 inch long and diameter is not quite as that of a pencil. I think it has to do with the float and needle and seat. Thanks, Will
