fuel cut off valve
Spot on ! -- I have located it and taken it off --on the solenoid side the red cable on the moulded plug is parted --all very old and brittle so I dont really know if I have caused that when fiddling just now or if it is the root of the problem, but the lack if clicking gives me hope!!-- If...- Propsail-HT

Immensly stupid question -- I cant get my FD20 to start --- went in search of a fuel cut off valve in the injector - but see nothing obvious Not obvious on wiring diagram - so WHAT STOPS THE TRACTOR WHEN I TURN THE KEY?? -- valve ligter calble was coiled up behind dash since before I had it...- Propsail-HT

That is really revealing - is it poss to obtain view/ purchase more exploded diagrams - especially if it leads us to 'the screen' If I removed #4 is it fair to say there should be no fluid ? woudl the prescence of fluid - in your opinion - lead to these symptoms? F20D, stops moving forward.
I cant locate the screen I fear - woudl it not apply to a manual clutch, do I only have the canister filter ( or is that indeed the 'screen'.)? Would shortage of fluid have any bearing on forward motion in this instance? Is it possible that fluid can leak onto the clutch plate and cause...- Propsail-HT

F20D, stops moving forward.
F20D, Works great for about an hour and then with very little warning just stops moving forward. Hydraulics still work and clutch pedal goes up and down but feels a, bit disconnected... Left to, cool down for a couple hours.... Drives OK again. Doesn't FEEL like clutch is slipping just not...- Propsail-HT
