    2140 JD and snow

Had a few heavy snow spots in my yard so I thought I'd get them cleared up a bit this evening. I have to say that the front end loader is not great for clearing roads. Takes forever as the snow keeps running off each end of the bucket. If I was going to do much snow removal with it I'd adapt a...

:( Had to deliver bad news to one of my patients today. I said it is terminal and at best you have 100,000 seconds left. ruffly 27 hours but nothing is certain at this point I've seen them stripped before I've seen them bad but never one like this the splines are curled over...

    Feeler gauge set

Went to check points & rocker arm gaps today. The feeler gauge set, that I found, has two numbers on each feeler and the end is ground some. like .018-.020. Does that indicate the tip is .018 ? What's the reason of this type gauge. Thanks

    1953 Ferguson TO-30

Hi all, first off I've always been able to get my tractor running, but this problem has me stumped. I've owned it for 10 years now and it started acting up last summer. It started choking itself out and running very rough being choked like it was. I parked it after I installed the back blade for...

    Steam Cleaners

Wondering if anyone has tried using one of the smaller household steam cleaners to clean an engine of caked on oil/grease? A quick search found a Wagner steam cleaner and a McCulloch steam cleaner online for around $150. Just wondering if they have the output to clean an engine. Thanks.

    hay tedder/fluffer

Hi everyone. I recently bought an old but heavy 2 basket tedder. No tags. I am guessing European made because when I replaced 2 bolts, they were metric. 10 tines per basket. They flail out when the PTO is engaged. The wheels have 3 adjustments up/down. Has a spring loaded travel position. I...

    S motor question

I parted out an SC and am in the process of dismantling the engine. Ready to pull the crank tomorrow. My question is how do I get the Magneto drive and governor off. I now have two SC engines. This ones free but has a crack in the block. I have another SC engine that was running when I took it...

    What?s it worth?

This is a Ferguson plow, going for auction Saturday. I don?t need it and would have to clean it up and paint it. I am thinking $150 would be a fair high bid. It is a 1 1/2 hour drive too. Thoughts?

    IMT 542

Tractor engine rings frozen but isn't locked up. I can't find anyone that can rebuild engine. I either need a replacement motor or I need to sell it so I can purchase another tractor so I can put in food plots. I've had the tractor for 15 years and this is the first time I've had any problems.
