    Thanks a bunch for the info--yes, I installed the head gasket correctly, as I installed the previous one upside down (if you want coolant in your oil, do this). Yes, I used Permatex Copper Sealant on the head gasket. I will get the A good and warm/hot before I retorque.

    I replaced the head gasket on my A and torqued the head to125 ft/lbs. Should I retorque the head after it gets warmed up and retorque it while it's warm? I had it running once (about 30 minutes). I re-used the studs, does that make a difference? Thanks.

    My 36 A has the three way valve between the sediment bulb and the carb--the three way valve leaks, and the culprit is the cork washer. the part number is (I think) D 2122 R. Can this be found? I am having no luck. The guys at NAPA say to get a nitrile O Ring. I can't find anything in the...

    Ok, I have my magneto --and it needs work. After I pulled the coil out, the inside of the magneto case has a rusty sort of glaze all around everything. A good cleaning solution would be?? Acetone? Something else? Thanks.

    I have a 1936 Model A and I currently don't have a magneto. Can one tell by looking (without having a magneto on hand) whether the magneto I need is a short or long lug? I looked inside the case where the mag fits in, and I saw the number "33" stamped on the piece that receives the magneto...
