    IH 856 MCV Test Ports

Hello All, looking for some starting advice as I look to diagnose some MCV issues on an 856. Mainly trying to gather the necessities before tearing into this winter. Specifically, would anyone happen to know fitting or port sizes for what I would need to check pressures? On that same topic...

    Farmall B Starter Rebuild

The hole is way off as you mentioned. Definitely going to complain a little louder and see if they will do the right thing on a return/refund as there seems to be no way to even hack it up and make it fit well.

Gene, For my knowledge, are you referring to the pole shoe orientation/location, or something else to look for?

    Farmall B Starter Rebuild

Thats the issue, these came from farmtractorrepair (J&D productions) and they are telling me they are correct: "Yes, in some applications you'll only need two field coils instead of all four. It sounds like that may be the situation you are in. " As someone mentioned above my concern...

    Farmall B Starter Rebuild

Working on a full rebuild of my Delco 1107021 starter beginning with replacing the shorted field coils. Ordered in replacement but they are 2 "sets" of coils (4 coils total) like what you find on an H or M. I understand the pole shoes are in the housing and could use all 4 coils, but do not see...

    F-20 F4 Magneto

Thank you! That helps at least knowing thatI hadn't seen if they were threaded into the gear, should be able to find something to work.

    F-20 F4 Magneto

Anyone know of a part# or source for the 3 small pins that hold the distributor disc to the gear in an F4 Magneto? Feel quite silly now with how much time has been spent, but the symptoms we have been fighting make a lot more sense now knowing the disc was turning (intermittently I suspect)...

    1086 Fuse Block

Working through some electrical/lighting issues on 1978 1086 and down to the fuse block itself as the main culprit. Corrosion from 40+ years is certainly not helping seems the resistance is heating up the fuse to the point it is melting it even with all LED lights in place of the halogens...

    1256 Power Steering

Being a 56 it has the front bolster rather than a cylinder but I guess I'll plead ignorant on the bolster internal workings. Is a bypass still something likely there?

    1256 Power Steering

Good point, should add it is the same in both directions. No external leaks, being a 56 it has the front bolster rather than a cylinder and I'll be honest I'm not totally familiar with those internals. Is a bypass or similar issue common with the bolster?

    1256 Power Steering

Have a 1256 that gets you sparingly but somewhere along the line now lost power steering. Covered a few different times on multiple forms but I guess where I'm stuck is it doesn't seem to fit the bill for a normal MCV valve or pump issue. Jacking front end up, everything really turns smoothly so...

    Farmall H Starting/Stalling

The point of the spark tester was simply to see the spark while it is stalling, I know before that point spark is fine as mentioned. Fuel flow from the carb drain definitely is at least that much, and air intake makes no difference whether hooked up or intake left off from carb inlet.
