    800 PTO Shaft

    Thanks for that! I see one on the shaft and a larger one in front of the bearing on the housing. Is there a third one on the other side of the bearing on the shaft? Looking in the IT manual I only see the two. But I can't get the darn circlips off anyhow. Tried with pliers, screw drivers etc...

    I have not taken it apart but sounds like that is the next step and will do that next. I see the circlip keeps the shaft from moving backwards. Is the bearing (pressed onto the shaft?) what keeps it from moving forward? Thanks!!

    When I took the PTO shaft out the circlips were in place. However, there is still about 1/2" of play forwards and backwards through the housing/bearings. Here are two pictures that show the play. Any ideas? Thanks!

    I have an 8n that has been converted to 12V. I put a new distributer and 12V coil on it but no spark. 11.6V at the coil. The starter seems to drag badly and gets hot quickly. Could that draw enough current to be the problem? Thanks! Rich
