    IHC 1066 Hydraulics

I did change the filter. No difference What is the largest pump one can get for a tractor like this? How high can I go with the pressure relief valve? I have 4 inch cylinders on the FEL so it is slow going with the pump I have.

    IHC 1066 Hydraulics

My second 1066 has hydraulic issues. It will slowly lift the loader but will not lift a bale. I've done pressure test and flow rate. Pressure will come up to about 950 psi but no flow rate. If I turn it down to get flow, I get 400 psi pressure. I have changed the pressure relief valve for one...

    IHC 1066

I've had the pump back to the rebuilder to be checked out in case something was not right. They say everything is fine. I think this tractor will have to be next winters project.

    IHC 1066

Good day I have a 1066 that will not run. I installed a rebuilt injection pump, have made sure its timed properly. The valves have been reset, a rocker arm replaced, lift rods checked. The tractor tries to run but just belches alot of black smoke and will not run. Any ideas? Thanks

    IHC 1066

Can you see down the hole to be sure the tappets are in the correct position or do you do it by feel?

    IHC 1066

Just a quick rundown of what is going on with my 1066 IHC. We put in a rebuilt injection pump and couldn't get the tractor running. We ended up taking the valve cover off to check timing. Found a bent rocker arm and mushroomed pushrod both on one cylinder. When pulling out the other...

    Turbo question

Yes, my intention is to have the pump fixed first. I was wondering if I should do both the pump and turbo at the same time or give the turbo a chance on straight oil. Just looking for suggestions from people who may have experienced the same type of thing. Thanks for your recommendations.

    Case/IH 2394

I have a chance to buy a 2394. Any thoughts on whether they are good or not so good machines? What are their weak points and what are the strengths? Thank you.

    Turbo question

Hi Further to my 1066 thats been pumping fuel into the crankcase. When I went to rescue the tractor and bring it home, I noticed that there is some oil seeping between the rubber hose and the cast intake manifold. Just wondering if this is because the oil has been diluted with fuel and...

    IHC 1066, fuel in crankcase

Can the seal be replaced without taking the entire pump apart?

    IHC 1066, fuel in crankcase

Hi I think my 1066 has fuel leaking into the crankcase. Is this possible and how so? While moving the tractor home tonight in high gear, the oil pressure dropped and the engine began to get hot. When I pulled the dipstick, the level was over full and smelled very much like diesel. It was...

    JD 4020 Fuel pump

I wonder if that #9 spring broke or got lost and someone put this long spring on the fuel pump instead. I've looked in the parts book I have and can't find the type of spring my tractor has. The spring is JD green, looks like its meant to be there though.

    JD 4020 Fuel pump

I'll have to check which model in the morning, but the spring on mine is not the same as the one in this picture. Its a coil spring bout 2 inches long and maybe a quarter inch in diameter. Without the spring in place, the foot throttle wants to go wide open.

    JD 4020 Fuel pump

Hi I have a later model 4020 with the Rosa Master pump in it. I took the pump out for rebuilding two years ago and am now installing the repaired pump. There is a small spring that was connected somewhere on the linkage of the throttle. Does anyone know where this spring is supposed to be...
