5600 radiator shroud
Hi. Recently purchased a fixer upper 5600. The tractor is missing its radiator shroud. Can this alone cause the tractor to overheat? Just driving around, the heat gauge gets very near the red. The motor has been overhauled by a reputable rebuilder. Coolant looks clean and is at the correct... -

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
This is Dale Hubbard I have a Geail 1600 round baler. This is the big one Anyhow I pulled the platform belt lacings apart. Had to cut about ONE in off each side to relace it. NOW I can not get the back roler to move up to get the lacings together. Is there anyone on her that has one of these...- Dale in Nw wa

I was talking to the parts gal at the JD dealer about a book for a 494 planter. She has 3 available. model 494-1957to 1961,494A-1962 to 1966 and 494AN-1967 up. I looked around for a id plate or tag,didn't see one. Maybe some of you guys might know where to look. Or perhaps some other identifying...- Rob Young

Haybine or Discbine?
I have been running a discbine for about 10 years.Have found that if you leave a 3-4 inch stubble you have a lot less trouble.Would not want to go back to a conventional.- Rob Young

Chev 3500
Looked at 98 Chev 3500 ext. cab dually today.454 motor,auto trans,4wd. nice shape,runs quiet. Was wondering about the tranny.Are they problematic?Has 130,000 miles. Also what kind of mpg could one expect running empty 55-60mph.Any input would be appreciated. Thanks- Rob Young
