    I have seen this before the shaft was not removed when split and got bent when it was rolled back together pushing the shaft back making to ware marks.

    Are the baffles loose in the muffler I have had the happen and done the same as you . Next have you checked exhaust manifold with a heat gun to see if you can locate the cylinder.

    Hope this helps don't over thank this tractor. Just remember when it came out the people running and working on them yelled hoa to get them to stop.

    You need s/n and the casting # to look for one. Than start calling salvage yards .
