    John deere 830 pony motor trouble

    Have you checked the clearance between the pinion gear and the flywheel ring gear? Were there any shims under the starting engine when you took it off? My 70 diesel has shims to get the correct clearance. Just my thoughts. Rodney

    I just did a 530 tank for a customer I took the tank to my local Raditor shop. He cleaned it in his big hot tank and then RedCoated it. Cost $75. Rodney

    Planting Potatoes

    I dont see any reason that they wont come up. I would cut the potatoes into pieces with eyes on them , let them set 2-3 days to heal or skin where they have been cut and plant. Rodney

    The Red , you probally were at what we call the Point which is about 18 Miles from where my wife and me live. Lookout Mountian goes approxamitely 90 miles from the Tennesee River to Gadsen Ala. Rodney

    Farmall 240 vs. John Deere 820

    I have had a John Deere 820 since 1986. It has been a very good tractor for me. I mowed 50 to 100 acres of hay plus raking and baleing for several years. I have put a water pump and two governer rings one just last week took me about 4 Hours. 31 hp. good utility tractor. My 2 cents Rodney

    Have you checked the pump pressure? Maybe the relief valve is stuck, or set pressure to high. Rodney
