    Using 3 point auger on a TO20

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was checking the auger tip, it looks pretty rounded off from much use. Do y'all think a new tip will greatly improve the digging? I viewed a new tip and it looks to be pretty square at the ends. Also, I think the auger is frozen up on the tube coming out...

    Using 3 point auger on a TO20

I am using a TO20 with a Leinbach auger for punching some post holes. Since the Fergy doesn't have positive down pressure, any suggestions for either putting weight on the auger or what have you. I see a hole in the gear box head that I think used to have a solid steel bar in it that was...

Front wheel bearings on a TO20

Are the front wheel bearings on the TO20 interchangeable with the 8N or 9N? I need to order some as the bearings are grinding on one wheel. I figured since I had it up in the air, I might as well do both of them. Any help is appreciated. Roger

    Valve guide replacement

I think I need to replace the valve guides on my TO20. I have a fouling problem in the #3 cylinder and I think the valve guide is worn and letting in the excess oil. Anyone have an idea on how difficult this replacement is? I saw one post, but all it mentioned was removing the spark plug and...

    Brush cutting

I have a TO20 and had problems keeping the mover deck at an even level due to a slow leak in the hydros. My solution was to buy two turnbuckles at the hardware store, hook on one end, eye on the other, and chain them to the lower lifting arms. With the turnbuckles, I am able to control and...

    Ferguson TO20

I have a 49 TO20. Fouling on all plugs, especially #3 cylinder. I am considering converting to 12 volt. Right now, I cannot get it to start. It cranks and cranks, gets spark, but no go. How difficult is it to do a conversion to 12 volt? Also, which spark plug is recommended for the TO20? I...
