    12 volt conversion

Mark; You can buy one of those chevy altenators at a place like Auto Zone for about $40. with a single wire or two wire hook up. As for making the bracket you just have to look a where the generator was hooked on to, bolt holes and at the altenator and work at it. The pulley frome the generator...

    Case 311 steering wheel removal

I make a bracket to pull against under the steering wheel to prevent damage from the claws on the puller. One inch wide quarter inch bar will work. Four short pieces, weld three of them to make a U shape and bore and bolt the other piece to it after slidding under the steering wheel. Good luck...

    tach for 200

Hi; I didn't know you could get the tach's anymore from Case. How much did it cost? I restore the gauge clusters and can usually repair the tach's, I have dozens of them I use for parts. If this is from that type of gauge I also have a couple of NOS ones. Take care, Roger Ph; 301-223-9005

    Wheel Bolt - Help Needed

I had the same problem with the power adjust wheels on a 300 I was restoring a few years ago. At that time Case had some bolts but the cost was $14. each, I bought 5/8" carriage bolts and ground 3 of the corners off and they then fit in the loops and the one corner keeps the bolts from turning...

    430 Transmission

The two aren't connected, and if the oil out of the triple range looked a lot like engine oil that's what you want to see. The oil in the transmission should be a 90-140 type gear oil. As long as your oil levels remain as they should be on the dip sticks you don't have a leak to worry about. Roger

    410 Dash Light

I've been buying light sockets from John Saeli' implement in New York. That snap in these holes and fit tight, not like the originals but good replacement. 315-585-9826

    Case 311 3 pt questions

Glen; The hydraulic oil can also leak past the seal that the PTO shaft runs through, that's where mine leaked, you can pull the PTO shaft out from the back by removing the bolts around the shaft. Drain the rear end and the torque tube first, then with a puller pull the old seal out and replace...

    Fuel guages/senders

I have new Stewart Warner 12v senders, may also have a used 6v one. Some times when the sender goes bad it shorts the gauge. You can test it by checking the ohms with a tester, terminal to ter. then ter. to ground, all should have a reading if it's good. Roger

    John Saeli's 800

Hi John; I had an 830 comfort king to farm with, traded it on a 2090. Bought my 830 new and it was a great tractor. Appreciate seeing the nice gauge cluster in the picture, you've done a great job and I'm sure it's mechanically as good as the apperance. Take care, Roger

    Case Tractor Identification

Looking at the casting where the air cleanter is I think it's a '56 or '57 round nose. That casting is more square with 300B models. Also it's probably a 310 with that type of front axle and if it has the 24 inch rims on the back I'm sure it is. Take care, Roger

    swinging draft arms

Wait, look closely at the pictures of the lift arms, they do have the swivel points at the end and are designed to swivel. The part#G16749 and G16754 and were optional for these tractors, also the 300 round nose. They were available then and later as replacements, but Case pushed their new style...

    swinging draft arms

No you shouldn't use the stabilizer bars when plowing, the hitch is designed to swing around rocks and such to keep from breaking the hitch or the plow. That was one disadvantage of the eagle hitch, so Case designed their plow to pivot on the hitch to help reduce that problem. Things like bush...
