    So drove it this weekend, and in Low range, no PTO load, shifted fine. I wonder if this issue is mainly under PTO load, as I run in High mode on slopes to use the engine brake, but try to switch to Low mode when not on slope, but after a bit, the shifting issue starts even in Low mode?

    Apology, I could have been more clear, it didn't matter that I was in High or Low, it kinda locks up, until I rock it, but maybe I will look a bit closer at coming to a stop in Low more often?

    Now cannot get a resistance continuity across the coil + & -, so appears have to replace. Why might this new coil only run the tractor for 2 minutes (as noted above)? Work in progress ....

    So cleaned points with $ bill, Confirmed it was a new A&I Products A-21A513 coil, listed as 12V with internal resistor, at least as shown on package container, But still no spark even though 12.5V to the coil (+).     I did not clean the new points, will do that. I will try test light on the (-) of coil to distributor. I will test drain fuel again at the carb. I will get the coil type I installed confirmed.

    So got around to starting without fuel cap, no change, still took multiple tries, did notice after a few tries the odd time back pressure to the air system (minor oil spurt up), so don't think its a cap issue. Did adjust power needle out 1/4 turn cause governer wasn't kicking in on minor hills...
