    the right oil

I have a c153 swarther motor in a super C. This is the first time I've ever had to change the oil. Should I use a special oil since it revs so much higher? Should it be non-detergent? Thanks for any help

    tachometer on Super M

Hi all, I got a "Glow Shift" tach for x-mas from my wife. I asked for it because I read on here is was the thing to have. I'm not sure however how to hook up the green wire. The instructions call for me to attach it to the vehicle's tachometer source wire which a 53 super M doesn't have...

    smoking 40s and fauling plugs

things just started happing. oil level in engine started getting higher and higher. took this old man a while to think this out, the tractor is not really making oil. really -- seal to keep hyd oil from engine blew, rebuilt unit, then seal around control arm shaft started poring, fixed that ...

Black Diamond sandblasting media doesn't work for me.

Black Diamond Brand sandblasting media doesn't work for me. It plugs my sandblaster. Way too corse. 20/40 medium grit is what I was using. Got it at TSC for 8.00 a bag. Went and picked up some "Patriot" brand sand and it works great. I think Black Beauty is out of business. That...

    Keystone turbo adjustment

I was wondering if anyone knew how to acurately adjust my keystone turbo. It's on a Super M, I have a vacuum gauge. I am trying to reach 14 pounds of boost. I thought it was as far as the needle would get under load (on a dyno) but someone else told me that once the needle went from still to...

    MF 85 three point hitch

I asked a guy with a MF 65 if that lever had to be locked back on his and he said no it sprung back on its own and then stayed where it was. I had to make my own handles and made them lock into position. I don't hear the tractor working extra hard so I figured I wasn't doing anything wrong...

    MF 85 three point hitch

I finally got my three point hitch working on my new MF 85 but it won't stay up. It has all the power in the world but if you don't hold the lever back it drops right back down again. Someone told me the packing might be bad. I assume they mean in the valve. not sure any ideas about...

    MF 85 three point hitch

Thanks for the tips, when you say you split the tractor do you mean front from the back? I was thinking worst case scenario I'd have to take the top of the transmission off. I have a manual on the way I guess that will show me where the pump is. Thanks again. Don't know what I'd do with...

    MF 85 three point hitch

I just got my first massey ferguson, the three point hitch won"t go up. Its not frozen as I can lift the bars up with my hands. I changed the fluid and put in 5 gallons, I only took out about four and its still not full. I know the lever that runs it is under my seat but it doesn"t sound like...

    case 311 skip

I recently brought back a case 311 from the bushes. I got it running but can"t get rid of this skip. I set the valves and have been messing with the timing which seems to help but that skip just won"t quit. I also think it should have lots more power than it does. Oh by the way it only seems...

    Case 311 three point hitch

Trying to get an old case 311 resurected. The three point hitch arms won't go down. They seems to be stuck in the up position. I can't seem to find anything wrong with it. Any ideas on what I could try to get them to release. Thanks
