    OT motorcyle noise

The version of the same joke I heard about converting gas to noise included the part that they do it without the added benefit of horsepower.

    OT motorcyle noise

Google "American Angst" sometime. It is NOT family friendly, but the host of the site does as good a job discussing all things Harley-Davidson as anyone ever has. I laughed for hours. I put 18,000 miles on a 26 year old Kawasaki last year, and I did it without annoying everyone around me. I...

    Plumbing question,

I know there are different codes and practices for different areas, but we have to vent every trap. So, every single fixture has to be vented. 2" is the minimum vent for a toilet. That 2" vent will be sufficient for the sink and shower also. Tie all three together. Stan touched on the idea...

    Pipe notcher??

https://www.fastenal.com/web/products/details/0960778 I don't know if that link will work or not, but we have the Baileigh purchased from Fastenal. We have the one that will do 2" and/or 1 1/2" sch. 40 pipe. Works just like you described. Spendy.

    930 grinding feed

Lorenz grinder? Wiped out the pto on an 830 with one of those. After a lengthy investigation, operator error was found to be the cause.

how did you get your Case tractor..s?

That's good to hear. At least you're getting some use out of it. The pto was strong enough to kill the tractor when I bought it.....you've heard the rest.

how did you get your Case tractor..s?

You may need a new 4x4 under that seat suspension. The other one is old and no doubt out of tolerance.

    A BOLT TORQUE QUESTION

There's more than one way to torque fasteners. I don't understand torqueing to a given point, then turning some more. I know there are different applications for any given bolt or stud, but we arrive at our final torque by the size of stud being used. An 1 1/4 B7 stud has a final setting of...

    Hey Lanse: youth of America.

He's probably working on a Goldwing as we speak. Taking the saddlebags off and putting a little Thermal-arc inverter on one side and a Lincoln Ln-25 suitcase on the other. Plenty of room for a Speed-glass in the trunk. If he'd do it to a Voyager XII, I'd be interested.

    OT: Kitchen sink drain problem!!!!!!

with the mechanical vent under the sink, have you had a sink back up? Not looking to start something, but I am curious how much pressure the auto vent can hold back before it fails, if it fails. I don't know of anyone who's had one fail. I also don't know too many people that have one in use.

    OT: Kitchen sink drain problem!!!!!!

Only thing I can think of short of a new sink would be to run each compartment with its own trap individually over to the stack. I have no idea how much space you have whether that"s feasible or not. Whether each run gets its own vent or not......personally wouldn"t bother me. Ran across a...

    Where's Lanse?

Fair enough. We tend to be on the same page on most of this, but we take different routes. I'm going to go ahead and say you take the long way. Out with the tractor and chain this morning and it occurred to me that perhaps even more important than what he brings to any welding discussion is...

    Where's Lanse?

What would be the end all be all to welding? I've got a dollar saying somebody won't agree with your answer, or any given answer for that matter. My answer would be whatever I'm welding in the way that I'm doing it. I would have little trouble finding fault with any dissent. I would like a...

    Where's Lanse?

Personally, Jon's. If I were to build a bridge, or make ornate ornaments with a plasma cutter, I'd go talk to Puddles. If pictures floated my boat, again, it would be Puddles. I have my own pictures. Billion dollar job? No, I haven't and wouldn't want to be on one of those. They neither...
