930 grinding feed

I thought it was warm enough to pull the
930 out of hibernation to grind some feed
today so I decided to snap a few pics. I
haven't had the opportunity to get the
"cobwebs" blew out of it yet since I
bought it almost 2 years ago and now we
got em!

Lorenz grinder?

Wiped out the pto on an 830 with one of those.

After a lengthy investigation, operator error was found to be the cause.

That"s a Great Bend "Hy Lift". Manufactured by Great Bend, CASE marketed them as a CASE Model 75. Great Loader. I remember a Dealer Meeting years ago w/ a G.B. Rep present. He said the G.B. design wasn"t good enough for CASE CO. CASE made them beef up the gussets, & use 3-1/2" Lift Cyl"s. in place of the standard 3" Cyl"s.

It is barley. I wanted to see how she would compare to the 2094 but I can't quite get there, but I am a few cubic inches shy in her defense. 8-12 minutes with the 2094 running everything that grinder can take and the 930 is 12-18 minutes. I never did pull it way down since I wanted to make sure everything was in check. I think I could adjust the pto up a bit, it didn't slip but it needs more snap to it.

Yes sir it's an LMC. I remember picking it up in northern Minnesota about 23 years ago. Couldn't find them around here. There has been a lot of bushels of feed through it and it shows it but it still keeps ticking.

Ezee-On model 100. Don't know what it was originally on but dad bought it and put it on an 806 years ago. That was the only non case tractor on the place ever. It was bin good shape but couldn't keep head gaskets in it along with some other issues so it went to Meyers in Aberdeen SD. The loader has been in the weeds for a few years so I modded the mounts and stuck it on. The bucket cylinders need rebuild kits and I think my hydraulic pump is shot since it will only move it when it's cold. I have to hook up the flow meter and check it out. I would rather find a different loader but this is free so I might have to stick some money in it.

That reminds me of my lorenz grinding oats for hog feed, but i was using a JD 620 in the evening it neat to see the manifold glowing. good memories
