    Electrical field

My MF 65 wasn"t charging after doing some research I was going to see what if any voltage was being put out. Problem is every time I even tried to get close to the tractor with my VOM while it was running the display just started flashing random numbers. I didn"t even touch the probes to...

    3pt lift

After a little research and trying a few things this is where I'm at. Position control doesn't do anything. Draft will lower 3pt when brought up and raise 3pt when pushed down. Any ideas?

    3pt lift

I put in a new hyd. pump and a different lift cover. My lift arms come up about a third of the way and just stop. What adjustment might I need to make? Anything I should be looking for?

    GL rating for a 1958 MF 65

Thanks for the replies. I found some 90 weight GL-1 at a local farm supply store. It said it was Ford hydraulic fluid for older Ford tractors. Label said it was S.A.E. 90 GL-1.

    GL rating for a 1958 MF 65

I talked with someone at a local oil supply company and they recommended Mobil 224. http://superiorpetroleum.availablecandidatelist.com/html/mobil_eal_224h.html It looks like it might work. Any opinions?

    GL rating for a 1958 MF 65

What GL rating should I have in my 65? Does or will it matter if it is GL-1 or GL-5? I know it needs to be 80w90 or straight 80 or 90 gear lube. Just wondering about the rating. Thanks Steve

    gaskets

Would there be a problem installing the paper gaskets on the rear axle housing if the temp is below freezing? I know you have to soak them in water, but will that effect them if they are installed and then freeze? Didn't know if the pressure of being installed would keep them ok.

    Bearing shims

Do you know anyone that does reasonable priced machine work. I need to shim up that bearing but it may need to be put on and off a couple times to make it fit right?
