    Broken Left Sector

If I end up having to buy new should I bite the bullit and have both sides replaced while they are in there? I will have to farm out the work. Are these a "weak link" so to speak. I know they are 65 years old so I hate to buy used. I would just hate to fix this one only to have the other break...

    Broken Left Sector

Neen help 44 2N 12volt FEL. As luck would have it I get some chains on my tractor turning it into a new machine. Only problem it still doesn't turn so well. Long story short I slide into a snow bank and snap my left sector just above where it bolts to the pitman arm. From looking at FO-4 it...

using heater on trans pan ok?

I have one of the magnetic block heaters. I have been using it on the hyd fluid on my 2N. Really helps with the 3pt warming up faster. Am I causing any harm to the system doing this? I am thinking of buying another so I can put one on both pans. Thanks Scott

strange milky film on fuel bowl and carb

1944 2N 12volt. My first winter with tractor. Started right up with temps in the 30"s. Got some snow temps around 10 and it never hit on one cylinder. warmed into 20"s got some brief "hits" but still not that close. Today 30"s fired on first crank but the fuel bowl had this strange milkly film...

    Front loader questions

Its a front pump. Without knowing much about the age of the hyd fluid in the system would it be worth a drain and refill? I still haven't seen a ball park figure on what it should be able to lift, 300, 500, 800 or more pounds? Thanks Scott

    Front loader questions

What do I look for and how would I tell if I have a problem? I hate to pay fir a rebuild if not needed. Or was I expecting too much from it?I can see where fluid has dripped on the bottom support bracket. The fliud level has stayed up so if it is leaking its only a few drops here and there...

    Front loader questions

No it doesn't have any leak down. Thats why I was suprised by how weak it was the first time I really used it. I replaced the hyd fluid in the tractor a few weeks ago and it made a huge differece in the 3 point lift, so I thought maybe something similar for the front? How would you test the pump...

    Front loader questions

What hyd oil/fluid should I be running in my front loader? Also I know "loaders" are different I have one from some company in KS but how much weight should it be able to lift? I don't see leaking around the cylinder arms but when using it to lift some gravel I was dissapointed in how...
