    What is this tractor

Judging by operator platform, I would say this is a DO missing the orchard metal with a regular D hood.

    Case do rear tire size

I'm pretty sure the modern 14.9 26 is the same size as the older 13.6 26. If it helps you we put a set of 13.6 26 on our JD AR and they looked way too small, I will definitely be going with the 14.9 26 on my next tractor.

    Transmission housing cracked

I have stated this before a few times but asking a tractor forum for advice on how to repair a cast iron casting is never really good advice. My recommendation would be to find an expert and have them do the repair for you it will save you frustration in the long run and keep you from having to...

    Model D engine block

It would depend on serial number, early 27's up until serial number 53837 used the 6 1/2" bore AD 64 R that has two bolts for the upper water pipe. From serial number 53388-109943 which is a 1930 they used the 6 3/4" bore number AD 391 R block that has 4 bolts fort the upper pipe.

    Portable welder choice

I would find out which one has the best serviceability in your area if there is an option for it, talk to the supplier and so if there is anyone locally who can repair either Lincoln or Miller. While the little air cooled engines aren't a problem the electronics and generator are a different...

    BR starts and dies

How long has it been since the tractor last ran and what grade of fuel did you use in it? I have been having issues with any tractor that has sat for a year or more with regular grade fuel. I will no longer run any gas that contains ethanol in any of my antique tractors it gums up the...

    Repairing a cracked block

I don't mean this to be offensive in any way but you might as well ask what is the most inexpensive method for absolutely destroying my hard to get antique tractor block. This question always leads to a terrible amount of misinformation on possible solutions, from people who have never actually...

    pictures SC4

That's a decent looking tractor, I have an SC-4 with eagle hitch that is in similar condition but your fenders look better then mine. Its hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the bottoms of your fenders aren't rusted out like mine. I also have a SC-4 that is a straight draw bar tractor...

    630 standard won't stay running....

Honestly while not original the simplest solution is to replace the the auto shut off bowl with an older manual one, I did that on my 51 AR and haven't had any problems since.

    Early E27N

Where in Canada are you? I have one on display in the Agricultural Museum in Stifling Ontario, and there was one in the museum in Austin Manitoba. Here is a link to a picture of mine, if the link doesn't work just search E27N in tractor photos it under 1945 E27N...

    cracked block

Every once and a while someone asks this question and there will always be at least a few experts that have never repaired a block that will reply. The lock and stitch method works good and is probably best for someone with little or no experince in welding cast. If you are going to weld it...

    1940 Model AR - a few questions

Most two cylinders vibrate on idle, and I think with the design of the fenders on the unstyled it tends to amplify that vibration.

    Cream hoods on SC

Was told it was quite common when the older Flambeau tractors were traded in for the new two tone tractors that the dealers would repaint them with the new colors to make them easier to sell.

    EXTERNAL CRACK ON BLOCK

Asking how to repair a cracked block on here is never a good idea there are too many so called experts that will fill you full of misinformation on what you can and can't do and many have never attempted the repair in their lives. First never attempt to braze a block at all or use oxy/fuel...
