another question about removing a different pulley

I decided to leave it alone for now as the bearing is good with no play. I'll just fill the gearbox with corn head grease until the bearing goes out or something else requires me remove the pulley. I'll give your suggestion a try when the time comes. Thanks for your reply Steve

another question about removing a different pulley

I suspected I would probably have to cut it all off but wanted to ask for others opinion. Maybe I should just leave it be and try to slow down the leak for now. Any ideas on how to slow the leak down? I have been contemplating doing one of the following: 1) It calls for 90wt gear oil...

another question about removing a different pulley

Yes, the shaft turns without issue. I see what you are saying, since it turns, the bolts can't be in the housing. The only issue is a leak in a seal.

another question about removing a different pulley

I have to remove the output pulley off the same gearbox so I can remove the gearbox to fix a seal leak. This pulley looks different than the taper lock setup on the input shaft. This one is also very rusty. There are 3 sketchy looking bolts, but no extra threaded holes to push the hub from...

question about removing a pulley from a shaft

I need to remove this pulley on the input shaft of a gear box (see attached picture). There is a part that's bolted to the pulley with 3 bolts and it looks like the shaft key is welded to this part. I'm confused at what this part is for. I'm sure it's important but I can't figure it out. Do...

Question about 2 ton chandler spreader

I removed the verticle spinner shafts and you are correct in that the frame is slotted. The washers are so big i couldn't see the slots. Appreciate the help.

Question about 2 ton chandler spreader

This is a new to me 2 ton chandler spreader that I just purchased. According to the guy I purchased it from, it was manufactured in 2014 or 2015. It is ground driven with a hydraulic cylinder that applies a metal 'tire' to the wheel to cause everything to work; spinners to spin and chain to...

    TO30 head studs

I know this is an old thread but i wanted to post the ARP part number for the longer studs that i used in case it can help others in the future. I also wanted to thank pomester for posting originally. It helped me out a lot. I didn't use the ARP washers under the 3 longer studs under the...

    update on to-30 random misfire

Thanks for all the things to check. I've performed all the checks to determine if the miss is in the ignition side and haven't found a culprit yet. No fire bouncing around at night. I jumped around the ignition switch and ammeter. I connected a timing light to each plug wire and don't see a...

    to-30 valve guide installation

doing a valve job since I have several that aren't sealing. there is a good bit of play in the guides also. I'm planning on replacing the guides. the service manual shows 2 different spacers to get the intake and exhaust valves at the correct depth. all the guides in mine are the same depth so I...

    update on to-30 random misfire

Here are the compression numbers (psi) with the engine warmed up. Cyl 1 - 112 Cyl 2 - 116 Cyl 3 - 118 Cyl 4 - 116 I think my friend has a cylinder leak down tool. I'm going to see if he will let me borrow it for a day and check each cylinder.

    to-30 random miss fire

my to-30 has a random miss that I'm trying to fix. Spark plugs aren't foiled, coil is good, plug wires aren't shorting to ground and I can't find an air leak anywhere. It has an electronic ignition so points and condenser aren't an issue. What are some not so obvious things that can cause a...
