Best way to clean up a appearance of a carb??

Fuel doesn't go on the outside of my carbs, it goes on the inside.

504 was the fourth one off the line, use your fingers.

Should I hone cylinder after removing piston?

I don't see that running a hone in there for 2 minutes or less will do any harm. Anytime that I have a piston out, I run the hone through the cylinder.

Draining water from head/block on F12

If the front end of yours sets high like most of that model does, then you need to make sure the water jacket on the left side of the engine gets completely drained. Almost all of them that I have seen are cracked and welded at the bottom of that jacket.

    WD6 still not running

Where is the RPM air valve for running on gas?

    WD6 still not running

First of all, the diesel is turning off, because we have opened the bleeders while the diesel lever is in the off position and nothing comes out. To start the tractor, Turn on gas, engage starter, engine should start this is where the problem is, it just smokes real black and runs really rough...

    WD6 still not running

My brothers WD6 still won't run on gas. It will start, but runs real rough and pours out copious amounts of black smoke and then dies. We have adjusted the float level and changed the size of the hole in the metering rod. Anybody have an idea what to try next?

I know where one of those tractors is setting right now. Doubt if I could ever talk the guy out of it.

    10-18 seal

Thanks to everyone for their help.

    10-18 seal

Looks like the 04583A washer is what we need. Do you know where that is available?

    10-18 seal

I wasn't as clear as I should have been in the original post. The outside rim of the bull gear is machined and the seal runs on this surface and is stuffed inside a groove in the housing. I hope this helps.

    10-18 seal

I looked at the diagram again and I believe it is either the 04583A or the 04538A.

    10-18 seal

I can't find what I am looking for in the drawing. I will have to take a picture and try it that way.

    10-18 seal

This is inside a large "banjo" type housing that the main driven gear and I will call them planetary gears run. The seal that we need is the one that goes inside a groove that goes clear around the "banjo".

    10-18 seal

I am helping a friend work on his 10-18. We need the seal that goes around the inside of the hub where the drive gear is. Not sure if it was leather or what the material was. If someone could give me a line on getting this, I would appreciate it.
