    Yes you can as long as your clear is compatable with your base material and you haven"t sanded through your base finish.

    I wouldn"t wax any air dried finish for at least 90 days or more, as the paint is still curing from the inside out. 90 days is an old rule for enamels and arcylic paints.

    400Dtractorman, This is the Nason paint codes for 2150. 96766IC = ful base ss. 96766IB = ful thane urethane ss. 96766II = ful thane acrylic urethane. 96766A is for centari ss = acrylic enamal. I hope this helps. If it needs to be a little lighter add more grams of orange.

    Protecting parts?

    Is there anyone in your area that does bead blasting. This is one of the safest ways to blast metal, as it doesn't warp the sheet metal and doesn't destroy chrome or glass. Most shops that do the blasting also will put a coat of epoxy primer on for you.

    HVLP Turbine vs. air compressor

    I have had a TP HVLP Turbine for many years now. It's a great product, I have used it to spray stain and clear on kitchen cabinets, my deck and painted many car and 4 tractors.

    Air supply lines for shop.

    I used 3/4" PVC throw out my shop for air lines. That was over 20 years ago and it's worked out great. It was mounted on the walls in the normal confrguratings.     acetone spilled on paint.

    I would try to wet sand it out with 1200 or 1500 and then buff. Then if that didn't do the trick, sand down the whole tank with 500 or 600 and repaint. If the tank has a good base finish there really isn't a need for a primer coat.
