    Ford 841

I have thought about the temperature, I don't know if it does have a thermostat or maybe it is stuck open. It will just barely get into the green on the gauge. I have seen it get a little higher not to the middle of the gauge just into the green. I noticed that if I sped the engine up a little...

    Ford 841

Ok, thanks for the response. I would think it would be nearly impossible to leak enough gas to get it into the cylinders but there is gas in it. If I had a bad spark plug or plug wire and it was just filling the cylinder with gas do you think that could cause it to leak into the crank case? Or...

    Ford 841

Thanks. I changed all the oils after I bought the thing and the oil didnt have a gasoline smell. So hopefully it is just a fluke. I will change the oil again and see what happens. Ive been pretty careful about closing the sediment bowl after using it. Possibly there is enough fuel in the line...

    Ford 841

I bought a 841 ford last August. I recently had to replace the clutch. That all went well. I put the last bolts attaching the hood and i walked by and checked the oil. The oil level was at the proper level. I smelled the oil and tried to convince myself that I didnt smell gasoline in the oil...

Ford 841 clutch hanging in gear.

Thaks for the input. I will adjust the clutch linkage a bit more and see if that helps. If not then I guess I have to split the tractor and replace the clutch.

Ford 841 clutch hanging in gear.

If im moving down our road at say 10 mph 1000rmp in 4th gear and I push the clutch it seems to disengage and operate properly. If I stop and get off the tractor while running in neutral when I get back on it and press the clutch it is hard to get back into gear, I grinds and so on. I have to let...

Ford 841 clutch hanging in gear.

I have noticed over the last few weeks when running the tractor, ford 841. It will hang in gear when the clutch pedal is all the way to the board. Particularly in reverse and first gear. I can be just at idle be backing it out of the barn and I push the clutch in and I keeps pulling in reverse...

    Unload valve for 801 ford

Thanks for the insight and advice. I also have, what I think is called the pump relief valve. It is the one that is in the bottom of the sump that is accessed under a plate on the right hand side or the tractor. The guy i bought the tractor from thought that might be causing a problem. The...

    Unload valve for 801 ford

With the draft control lever in the down position, draft control, it does nothing ever. With the draft control level in the horizontal position, position control, it will sometimes lift about half way. I can kind of coax it up a bit higher by lowering the touch control lever then pulling it...
