Water in front axle, best way to clean it.

Have 4wd kubota and the knuckle seal went out and let rain get it. Now it has a lot of rusty looking oil. (It wasn't me that did this, hopefully I would know better than wait that long). Anyway, I'm the friend that repairs. What is the best way clean out all the dirty oil before inspecting and...

Thanks Stan, the reason I was asking is that I'm thinking about putting in a hydrostatic steering unit and Just wanted to make sure there was a pressure relief in case the steering valve didn't. May not try it but its been an idea for a while now.

Hesston 5500 round baler doesn't eject the bale

Have a Hesston 5500 round baler that I bought recently. It bales pretty good, but has two issues. It only drops out aobut 1 in ten bales. The rest i have to pull out. Is there a trick to it that I dont see? I tried with it running, I tried with it stopped and nothing seems to help. The second...

    propane valve leaks

I have a Jubilee on propane. The liquid valve is leaking around the stem. Took it off and found a seal that had disintegrated. It isn't an o-ring, its more like a diaphram that is attached to the stem and spreads out to also seal the stem nut to the valve. Went to local propane dealer and he had...

Stuck brake disc on utility 460.

I'm trying to overhaul the brakes on a 460. The outer disc is stuck on the splined shaft. I used a pry bar, heat wd4o, tapping it back . It has a very small amount of movement but will not come off. I pried hard enough to bend up the disc pretty bad. My next idea is using an acetylene torch for...

135 front hydraulic pump yes or no

I have a 135 with continental engine. I'm considering putting a front pump to run a hydraulic top link on a set of forks. I cant find much online about it but a few posts says that I can snap the crankshaft and suggest that the continentals have a weak point there. What advice can you give for...

    DIY electronic ignition

I dont have the article in front of me but I remember some garden tractor pullers using either a GM or a Dodge EI unit and using the points as the trigger. If you did some research, I bet you could do that and use the points in the tractor distributor to trigger it and allow all the original...

    Cordless Impact Wrench

I got a Kobalt at lowes a couple of years ago on black friday. It was a great price so I didn't expect much, but this thing does better than any of my air impacts. I have been totally amazed at what it'll break loose.

    tube frame workshop parts

I have a workshop made from the square tubing like the carports you see everywhere. I am trying to find height extension tubes for the sidewalls. The tubes are 2.5 x 2.5 inch. I can find 2x2 and 2x3 but I cant seem to find any 2.5 x 2.5 anywhere. I am going to reroof it this summer, putting...
